Ride Baja Mexican Insurance provides comprehensive and liability coverage for your UTV when driving or towing in Baja and Mainland Mexico. We offer top-tier UTV, ATV, and Buggy policies, ensuring you are legally compliant to operate your vehicle in Mexico. Our policies cover damage, theft, fire, and liability, delivering the highest quality protection in the industry.
Do your motorcycle insurance policies cover off-roading?
Understanding your UTV insurance policy is crucial. No Mexican insurance provider offers coverage for off-roading, racing, or riding in restricted areas such as beaches. Our UTV policies extend coverage only to passable roads that are typically used and mapped. These roads may be unpaved, provided they are passable, maintained, and frequently traveled.
What is the maximum amount I can insure my UTV for?
We offer the highest limit in the industry for UTV coverage. The max value policy we offer is 40k US.
What do I do if I have a claim while driving my UTV in Mexico?
In the event of a claim, contact HDI Seguros immediately. If you are unable to reach them, our office is available to assist you. Should you find yourself in an area without cell service, you must travel to the nearest location with service to make the call. A claims adjuster will be dispatched to your location and will need to visit the accident site. Failure to call immediately and meet with the adjuster can cause your claim to be denied. You must stay in Mexico and file the claim. Claims made outside of Mexico will be denied.
Do I really need insurance on my UTV in Mexico?
Mexican law mandates insurance coverage when operating a UTV in Mexico. Without insurance, you are exposed to significant risks and potential liabilities in the event of an accident. We strongly recommend adhering to Mexican regulations by maintaining at least liability coverage at all times.
How does the towing coverage work on my UTV while in Mexico?
Your HDI Seguros UTV insurance policy includes up to $1,000 USD for towing services. If you are stranded or experience a breakdown, you can call HDI Seguros, file a claim, and take advantage of this coverage benefit.
What documents do I need to cross the border with my UTV?
To cross your UTV into Mexico, you must present a valid registration. Bill of sales, titles, or manufacturer certificates of origin are not accepted. The registration must be valid, and only original documents are accepted, not photocopies. Upon arrival at the border, the Mexican border agent will request your registration and verify that the VIN on the registration matches the VIN on your UTV's frame.
